[...] The 2007 Train Wreck ($20) was very deep magenta in color. It’s a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (46%), Syrah (44%) and a bit of Petite Syrah. The nose consisted of raspberries, blueberries, anise and cloves. On the palate, great flavors of blueberries, cherries, tobacco, and anise. A medium bodied wine of spice, cherries and blueberries that lingers throughout to the finish. I’m certain a nice porter house steak would work wonders with this wine and Melanie suggested Homemade potato chips with caramelized onion and gorgonzola dip or Montezuma New York steak cutlets with apple, roasted beet puree and horseradish cream on potato cris....
[...] The 2009 Muscat Blanc ($20) was light yellow in color. The nose had aromas of deep sweet floral accents, yellow peaches, ripe apricots, pears and again a bit of citrus. Their Muscat Blanc reminded me of the acidity of a lime rind, yet full-bodied leading to a long lingering caramel at the finish. My pairing for this elegant and lightly sweet wine would be a Caprese Salad made with Heirloom tomatoes, Basil, and Mozzarella cheese. Pairings by Melanie were the Cajun Root Fries and Tandoori Rub- Fish or Chicken. [...]

We don't work for Lavender Ridge. We just happened to review them. BUT, they do have a website you can contact them through. And I'm sure something could be worked out.

I visited Murphy and your store last spring and purchased several bottles of wine including Lavender Ridge/Sierra Foothills Cotes du Calaveras Blanc. Do you sell to any stores in Virginia or Washington DC? I live in Virginia Beach. I also loved a cheese with lavender that I would also like to purchase. Thanks

[...] The 2008 Shake Ridge Zinfandel ($36) was very dark and rich in color. On the nose were aromas of raisins, raspberries and blueberries, and spicy. Definitely my kind of Zin! My palate danced away with the smooth and full fruit forward mouthful. I love the smokiness, liquorice, earthy finish! My favorite of all the Zinfandels offered. My suggested pairing was a goat cheese with Balsamic Vinegar, Heirloom tomatoes atop Indian Naan Bread. Melanie suggested Smoked Salmon with Roasted Beets, Goat Cheese drizzled with Pistachio Oil.
